Weird question, I admit, but it has been recurring over the past weekend. Apparently my face reveals much info (to my surprise) that was otherwise somewhat elusive even to me. In short... people see things on me stuff I can never fathom, hahaha.
Take my colleagues, for instance. Two of 'em were dumbfoundedly shocked to think I am single. You know their reasoning?
- But you look like you're not single... you have that look -
Take my best friend:
- If I hadn't known you so well, I'd think you were attached already -
*shock shock* How does that work!? And apparently that's not all thats on this face. Check these out. A fellow badminton gang member... er make that two of 'em:
- I dunno why I can't stop laughing... but it happens each time I see your face -
- Don't show me your face... I can't stop... [cough cough]
?? Baffling indeed. And last night, I just got a new addition to the repertoire of 'faces':
- You just have that *extremely* friendly face. That's why people don't take you seriously -
Oh man... my life's a joke, hahaha. And here I was, thinking that I have this serious look/expression on me at most times. At least back in university days, thats what people told me. Wonder what else can be told by the face...?
Any explanations?

My explanaton is, at some fundamental level u have a satisfied contentment that maybe not many of us have.
Some see it as the happiness of being "in a relationship". Others i guess, see it in a "open frenliness and good humoured nature" that they can relate easily with. Main theme seems to be "happiness". Though laughing at you for it IS i agree a bit too cruel. :<...

ReplyDeletewhat it *is* about is that I'd like to understand the rationale behind the perceptions. Interesting to know, coz it not only reflects wat ppl see in me, it also reflects to me on how these ppl think... there's a lot to be learnt about others by what they see and perceive in the most inconsequential matters.
anyway, was hilarious to see ur quote of 'happiness of being in a relationship'. Sad to say it doesn't apply to me, but I was tempted to use that excuse a few time :D My cousin sis was commenting yesterday that I looked diff.. It was soooo hard to hold back from saying 'ppl change when they're in love' =D Alas, I *do* have a shy said and refrained from making an ass of myself, hehe.
