The shocking news about the ordeal was what my colleague said about his lunch... which happens to be the burger as well. Apparently it was his first time EVER to eat a local burger product *shocked*. This~ coming from a guy who lived in Penang his entire life~!
Wanna know more!? He apparently neva tried Roti John, kebabs in pita bread, and watever foodstuff you can find in a pasar malam. Lucky for him that he did try some of these before, just never from a purchase in a pasar malam. He practically never bought food in a pasar malam.
Wanna know EVER more!? He's from Penang and he neva even ate at Gurney Road (or Street? which is it?) ... EVER~!!!!

And here I was thinking that I'm not so much a Malaysian for not travelling about in M'sia much. I've finally met someone who surpasses (or underpasses?) me... he neva sampled the Malaysian dietary rules! :P
Someone should put it a requirement that to verify one's Malaysian-ness (or nationality for the English-fanatics), one must have eaten at least 4 of the following, once a year (for the sub-30 age group, just to be health-friendly):
1. Ramly burger (or its variants)
2. Roti John (though this originated from S'pore)
3. Ayam Goreng pasar malam
4. Sweet Corn
5. Tau Foo Fa
6. Apam balik
7. Ayam percik
8. (let the list grow...)
So what can I say? I am a Malaysian :P
Come over to Penang one of these days sweetie~ I'll take you around just for FOOD!
