Pictures galore...

*sigh* sometimes I go strolling bown blog-lane... it sure is nice to see pictures in a blog. *sob sob* I need a digital camera. Whoops, that makes another gadget to put in the list of 'wanna-haves'.
Any of you guys got recommendations of nice COMPACT category digi-cams? I'm not a photo enthusiast, so SLR-like configurable lens and such are not my taste. Something tiny, well-featured, good images, expandability... value-for-money. Go go, make me a list :D

P.S.: Not that I *will* get whatever is recommended... but I can dream (or plan) can't I. *hehe*

Puchong is alive~

Any of you familiar with the area opposite Giant (Puchong)? Boy, I must say that for such a small piece of land it sure is loaded with interesting shops. Overall, its just a standard stretch of 2 rows of shops houses facing the newly opened Giant hypermarket in Puchong. I lived in Puchong in my uni days and even then it was neva quite as interesting as it is now.

In that small collection of shops, you can find:
1. A japanese restaurant (Kikyo)... checked out the pricing; Quite decent, comparable to Omitsu Koshi (Kelana Jaya)... assuming you people know *where and what* that is :P
2. 3 pet shops, one being an aquarium shop. One of the shops is aptly names 'Rainin Cats and Dogs'.. hehe. They have this cute, adorable white kitten in the front display. *I WANT*
3. Way too many car accessories shops... one specialist in car tints, another on audio, probably another on just about anything. I'm sure there's at least one more lying around.
4. Got 2 mamak stops so far
5. A wonderful air-conditioned vegetarian shop.. try it. Quite decent food.
6. Chino... looks like a nice cafe
7. Beauty saloon... not sure if its any good, but last night as I was walking by... sure saw not 1, not 2... but 5 gorgeous chiqs waiting in queue. Neva knew Puchong had such women around *sigh*
8. Several pharmacies
9. 2 launderettes... one offering simple tailoring services for patchups and all
10. Theres a grand double storey restaurant under construction at the moment. Sure looks promising.
11. A sports equipment stall
12. Steam boat restaurant

Er... ok lar, this list will keep growing. There's an inner row of shops which I have yet to explore. Too bad I have no camera... else I'd just snap 'em all and give you all a tour of the place. Not really exciting, but interesting nevertheless. Such a short span of time since the place opened and it's already bustling.

Well, only thing left to do is go to Kikyo and drop my business card. They said there's a VIP dinner next month, and invitations will be sent out based on draws. I didn't have any cards on me last night... shall make it top priority to drop one today or tomolo. Who knows... I might get lucky and get invited :D

Tech Frenzy~

*sigh* I can't believe I'm succumbing to the desire of MORE money, just like every other person in the rat race. Well, honestly, it would be a lie to say it was unexpected :P But what can I say... the temptations of gadgets are all around.

For instance, there's this one friend of mine who's constantly raving about PSP (to my friend: yes, you know who you are *grin*). True, I dun see the alure of the device, but it sure as hell makes me wanna own other consoles (XBox and PS2 come to mind).

Similarly, my handphones been grumpy lately. Battery cant survive for more than a day. What more, using Outlook on two different systems kinda makes it a management hell. Wish I had a PDA to streamline my now-hectic-and-busy life. Answer: O2 XDA Mini *slurp*. Well that's what some friends have been recommending. Unfortunately, (yes u guessed it) it costs a LOT of money *sob sob*.

Next is the dilemma of the dual-useless PC's. I have a slow desktop with great gaming setup, and a fast laptop with hopeless gaming setup. In English, that means an avid gamer like me has been left devoid of electronic interactive entertainment for too long. I need a new PC, a GAMERS dream machine *dream dream* Alas... dreams don't come cheap.

So many gadgets, so little money. How I wish birthday wishes actually magically come true... but that's a wish all on its own *sigh*. Any kind souls want to contribute to my greater cause? :P

Sunday's a Funday?!

Er.. usually it is. But mine was taxing, tiring, fun, and scary ALL in one package.

Taxing and tiring: I was on a seminar from morning to evening. Darn long, but quite motivational and surprisingly entertaining. Neva stayed awake so long in a seminar/lecture before. Amazing indeed. Sign of truly great speakers. But my brain was pooped at the end of it... soaked with information and all that suppressed sleep :P

Fun: Chicken dance and badminton :P Well, the whole lot of us had to do this chicken dance during the seminar. Felt ridiculous for a while, but it actually was engaging and fun after a while. It was one of the tricks they employed to keep us awake. Geniuses~!!
Badminton was the usual fare at the end of the day. Went there straight after the seminar. Games were like usual.. fun and fast. Movements felt lighter yesterday, but I aldo felt a bit slower... hrm.. wonder whats with the weird combination *scratch head*
Dinner was nice too. Ditched my klang frens (if u're reading this, all i can say is *grin*). Well actually, I just wanted to eat something spicey (like grilled fish in thai sauce) for a change... alas I ended up eating something with cheese *slurp* Either way, I ate stuff I wouldn't be able to eat in their new usual makan area. Equally fun was the group... since I know more ppl on the table, the dinner talk was more enjoyable and engaging. Nice nice.. no regrets! Dudes... ditch KaiFatt area lar next time~! (Hrm.. on second thoughts.. feel like going for deer-curry rice on the next badminton outing).

Scary: En route to badminton hall. Now this was a shocker. My darlin' Getz is but 4 months old now. Never has it seen the need to perform hard brakes... until yesterday. I was minding my own business, driving at the speed limit, keeping to my lane, usign signals wherever needed... in short: being a pemandu berhemah. About 200m from my destination, I entered the residential area.
Roughly 20m ahead of me was an underaged kid, no helmet, riding a motorbike.. in the CENTER of the street. 20m~ he had all the time to correct his direction. The dumbass played ignorant. FOOL~! Does he know what he's up against!? My Getz!! Reputed to be a tough car, good passenger safety at the sacrifice of pedestrian safety in a crash! He'd be DEAD if I hit him.
I stepped on the brakes at full force. I was amazed at the responsiveness of the brakes (they better be... 4 months old only), and sure enough the kid was spared and my darlin' unscathed.

BUT, the b*****d had the nerve to give me the 'stare' !?!!? The next few seconds of my life sped by so fast, I can't quite place my words during that period :P All I know is I haven't scolded/cursed in Malay like yesterday in a LONG time. Either its my words, or the look I had on me... one of it gave the kiddo reason enuf to cower and run (speed off) just as he passed my stationary car. Was observing the fella from my rear mirror... he slowed down a distance away and looked back.

*Grin* I purposely put my gears on reverse... hahahha. You should see how fast he sped off after that at the sight of the reverse indicators. hahahaha. Good to know who 'lost' in the 'dare' :P

Well... that's my Sunday in a nutshell. Nothing much to say anymore. Or maybe there is... but it just involves a fren I made during the seminar... 'Nuff said :P
