Awkward weekend this is gonna be. I had all the intentions of heading up to Genting Highlands. My primary motivation being that I've never been there before (yes, yes... to all those getting shocked over this statement... I know it's sad :P ) and the other fact that I have coupons for TWO to get unlimited rides in the theme park for an entire day. They expire this month's end, btw *slaps forehead*. They were a gift from two very close friends who were symphatetic at my not having had set foot on Genting before. They *did* put a condition that I should find a date to go with.
Haven't had much success asking anyone interesting. But that's just me being picky. I added a self-imposed rule that I shall ask someone I'm not very close to. Reason: Whole day experience... plenty of time to get to know someone. Why waste it on someone you already know well. Besides, I'll have a few close friends along in the trip... so why add another? Seemed like a good excuse, until it bombed! *hahaha* Too bad for me.
But excusing the date part, turns out I can't go to Genting this weekend. Darn~! I need to meet an important guest over the weekend, and family's giving me a look that says 'NO EXCUSES' for missing it. And now I have to be the harbinger of sad news and update some of my friends, who were equally enthusiastic 'bout the whole idea, that the plan is scrapped. Heck, the coupons can go bye-bye, too!
What luck~ I hope the special guest is really worth my time. He BETTER be!
We will go when I get home, kay. It has been a while since I've been there and I hear many changes has taken place.
ReplyDeleteAnd, since I do not see you often (now, how is that for an understatement), I will not tolerate any excuses. We have approximately 2 weekends, and one of them will be Genting. :)
Feel free to get additional peeps to join us. I feel a need to meet more Malaysian people our age.
