Another kudos for the most disjointed nouns in a title.
Anyway, you guys seen a mutated tomato? *grin* check this out, fresh from a pasar malam near you :P

Well, I'll leave it to your imagination as to what it reminds you of... to me it just looks like a fat rear end of a decapitated what-not :P
TOPIC CHANGE
Went to watch Narnia on Saturday evening. Cool show... but I digress. After the show it was dinner time and as usual, deciding what's for dinner was difficult. I'd swear even General's in war don't make such tough decisions *hehe*.
After much thought, we decided on Secret Recipe. Oh, btw, I was with a bunch of hometown friends. So there we were, ahppily seated and indulging ourselves to the menu. Good quality menu... felt like 'confiscating' one home *sigh*. We each ordered our dishes and off went the waitress.
... until ...
my good friend suggested we check out The Ship! Apparently very satisfying... but there was a problem: we just finished ordering. What happened next was surprisingly quick and *brutal* if I may say so :P My friend just stood up, signalled for our waitress, and told her to cancel EVERYTHING! Oh, I almost forgot... he was doing this Ultraman-ish arm-cross thingy... or more correctly a signal that those workers at an airstrip sometimes do with their cool light tubes... or the 'Safe' sign that is given for a baseball player that safely reach a base (hope I got that right).
Either way, the waitress (and her fellow colleague) were suprised by the sudden cancellation... one of 'em even blurted out: 'Alamak... kenapa tiba-tiba di-orang cancel!?'
Translation: "Ohmigosh... why'd they cancel the orders all of a sudden!?"
Back to my friend: he just walked out of the shop ala 'El Mariachi' after raiding an enemy bar :P Pity those ladies at the shop, probably half shocked at wondering what THEY could have possibly done wrong to cause such a sudden turn of events. Unknown to them was that we just decided to go elsewhere... but sure got over-dramaticised and blown out of proportions. *tsk tsk tsk*
Well, we ended up going to the Ship anyway... but not before me doing some PR and damage control by apologizing to the workers and giving them a friendly reminder that it's not their fault. *phew*
Last I heard was 'Come again!' as I walked out of the shop. Hope they weren't planning on drugging us the next time we come :P Or worse... shackle us to our seats until we finish eating up :O
But I suppose it was worth it. The Ship *is* a nice place to dine. Good food, good ambience, nice woody scent... probably worth a couple more return visits to check out the rest of the menu. Shall leave that for future exploration, hehe.
