I can't feel any more depressed than I am right now...
Ok, maybe I can; but in the current context, I am as depressed as I can be :P Remember how I've kept wishing I could go on a vacation? Well, opportunity came knocking when a close friend of mine invited me along for a trip to Shanghai with her family and frens. Yippeee....
...or so I thought *SUPER sigh*
I had to do some budget estimations and projections (not as complicated as it sounds) and apparently I *can* go, albeit risky... financially. If anything critical comes up, I'll be in a fix. And, lo and behold, sometimes things DO crop up. Sister's engagement and wedding are not far away, so there's one thing knocking at the door. There's also my car and personal insurance payment looming near.
I sooooooooooooooo want to go *sob sob*. I need a HEFTY freelance project or a some stable side income. It's sad to know that I can't (safely) afford overseas travels right now. Guess some local travel will have to suffice... for now. Anyone with nice ideas for a local getaway? I need to do some depression management :P

ReplyDeletewah, i WOULD want to go to shanghai too! :(( kita kacau itu killarkai! :p
ReplyDeleteGood local getaways? Isn't that an oxymoron? Hahaha... I did enjoy Kuantan, as a beach destination, but that's probably cos I had a friend as good tour guide.
hey, u gotta hand m'sia some credit. there are nice spots to visit and fun activities to do... it all comes down to wat you expect.
ReplyDeletefor me... i just expect a difference in my vacation. camping sounds interesting, a weekend chalet getaway... scuba lessons, etc.
heck, i havent even been to genting, but somehow i'm not motivated to even check it out. I mean, wat *is* fun to do there!?
as long as the whole trip costs less than 1.5k, it shud be safe :P
Jeeveeeeeeeeeee....
ReplyDeleteu can opt for Redang/Perhentian what...
nice nice nice ... ;-)
redang seriously sounds like a juicy idea. Been getting that recommendation from quite a few people. Unfortunately, the monsoon season is not too far away and between now and then, I do not foresee good opportunities to visit Redang. Perhaps I shall keep it in my 'Targets for 2006' list :D
ReplyDeletekeep em coming. ideas for vacations for post-October trips?
