I am slow~ :(

Wow, my first month of blogging and already I'm skipping my blogs by weeks. Been close to 2/3rd of a month since my last post. Wat can I say, works been hectic and I'm just lazy to update this. I guess since it's all new to me, bloggin' still ain't something 'natural' yet. Probably (hopefully) this will improve over time. Here's to hoping *cheerio*

Anyhow, a lot has happened in the past 17 days. But I'll just skip thru most of the details coz most are irrelevant by now anyway :P Work has been hectic. 2 bz weeks of regular bug fixes. I believe I haven't mentioned this yet, but I make a living as a programmer. Yes, sad to say, I'm not just an avid PC user... I'm IN the business of making the stuff that makes us get glued to the idiot box's closest relative: software development. It's not for everyone, but I like the challenge... for now. I just don't see myself sitting in front of the PC writing code for the rest of my life.

Project pretty much ended (released) yesterday, so it's a breather for a while. Conducted a micro-presentation on a research topic that ran parallel with my other tasks. It's nice to present research findings... good way to share knowledge and discuss. Besides, I love every opportunity to brush up on public speaking ;) BUT, there's always one inherent problem with me: I speak too fast :( Well, at least practice can fix it *phew*

On the social side, managed to get tickets to Actorlympics 2005. This is a local attempt at mimicing 'Whose Line is it Anyway' with local favorites such as Harith Iskandar, Jason Loo, Jit Murad, etc. Been to the past 2 occasions that were held over the last 2 years. Loved it, and I hope the impression will hold indefinitely. My recommendation: go grab the tickets. Check out http://www.theactorsstudio.com.my/ for details. *go go go*
Going with my usual gang of Klang friends, but I attempted calling some other close frens from uni-days. Unfortunately, only a close female friend could make it. It's not so bad... nice company, no doubt. Besides, I gotta admit, I was kinda selective with my invitations. I only asked like 4 ppl, so go figure.

Tonight was a good night. A friend came down to Klang from PJ. Trust me when I say this: having a PJ friend come down to Klang is SO RARE, its a reason for celebration... haha. Well, she was keen on trying some Klang 'lok lok' (hope I spelt that right). For the uninitiated, thats just a milder version of the famous Malaccan 'satay celup' (literal translation: dipped satay) :P Go try it if you can... not worth explaining food. Best to just try it ;)
Klang's lok lok ain't great or anything, but it IS dirt cheap. 30 sen per stick~! Try beating that elsewhere in Klang Valley... you'll easily lose RM1 per stick in most places.

A more pleasant surprise about the night was the inclusion of 2 new acquaintences. Friends of a close friend (Sorry if there are a wee-bit too many nameless 'friends' mentioned. I'm still quoting anonymity until this whole blogging idea becomes a norm for me). Fresh blood~ :P Haven't made new female friends in a while, so it's quite refreshing. More interestingly, one of 'em reminded me so much of a close friend I had back in my university days. I don't get to meet her much anymore due to geographical and career barriers, but it's nice to meet more people who remind me of her.
Well, the guests were very friendly and warm people. They can blend easily, and a cheerful and fun. At least now we have more options when it comes time to have 'mamak' outings, haha. My best friend has always been complaining 'bout the limited number of females that regularly go out with friends ASIDE from just their boyfriends (if any). And that, coming from a guy who has a girlfriend, is something that strikes a note when you sit down and ponder over it.

Well, it is getting late and I believe this post lacks a steady flow of context. Going on any further will just make it less legible :P Better stop now and continue when I'm more awake. And I hope I don't forget the existence of my own blog. Kinda fun, come to think of it *hrm* :D

Good nite...
