Spring cleaning...

Another day for a post unrelated to its title!

It has been a while since my last write-up, but I can't say there's nothing to write about. On the contrary, there's plenty and this (long) weekend has proven itself to be unnaturally slower paced than any weekend in recent times; that kinda inspired me to make a pit stop to good of' Blogger and rant away.

Oh, biggest update of the year; I got my first sprain EVER! That is *not* good in any way, but just looks better in writing by putting an emphasis on it. A side-effect of playing basketball, in-the-air, being nudged, wrong step while landing, and a kungfu roll later... leads to a wondrous experience of limping, one-leg-hopping and uncomfortable sleeps for more than a week! It's still not fully healed yet (been a month now); I can walk and jog and, in most cases, everything looks normal. However, it still doesn't feel the same and I can't yet partake in sports or activities that require jumping; aka basketball and badminton are OUT :( :( :(

I've read 4 and a half books in the past 2 months, with 3 and a half more on the shelf waiting in queue to be read :P I'm *so* gonna get full worth out of income tax rebates this year. Oh, what's with the 'half' you ask? Still halfway through one book now, that's why. If anyone watched Game of Thrones (I doubt it has arrived in local TV, nor will it ever arrive) then you should really check out the books. They're MUCH better (and the TV show is already pretty darn good, mind you) and there's FIVE books!!! Season 1 on TV is only the FIRST book, and even then plenty of detail had been skipped over. Nothing massively detrimental, but there can never be a 100% faithful book-to-movie conversion I suppose. Books have nuances and details that cannot be translated across at occasions, especially when it involves a monologue in the mind of the characters. No reason not to watch the series (highly recommended), and check out the books as well! They sure can cramp a whole lot of words in there. Imagine this; the first book looks no thicker than an average science fiction/fantasy novel, but it has a crazy 834+ pages!! It's like reading a bible; the paper is thin and the fonts are small. I feel like I'm reading a book that's constantly growing, haha. Still, enjoying every word of it ;)

It's past midnight now and I want to ponder over what else to do to get myself to sleep. Will rant again soon, hopefully :P
